The school district is proposing to pay new employees a lower wage than the current employees make.

Two-tiered wage structures are bad for everybody. If new employees are working for less, the employer has every incentive to reduce the hours of longer term, more expensive Education Assistants.

More people working in poverty. Everyone loses.

The Catholic School district should rethink its bargaining proposals.

Just pay everyone a living wage. Why is that so hard?
