School support staff across the province have been on the front lines of public education for years. When schools were closed for at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, we came in to support students who needed our help. We volunteered to provide services at COVID-19 outbreak sites when the government put out a call for workers in other sectors to step up and help.
With the cost of living rising, staff are barely scraping by. More than half of our members make under $35,000 a year at their school support job. We need your help to show government that families are standing with us.
